INFORMATION FOR FOREIGN ENTRIES  I  DOWNLOAD(ENTRY FORM)  I  QUARANTINE OF IMPORTED ANIMALS TO KOREA

     Information for Foreign Entries

Please submit a photocopy of the pedigree of each dog to enter in this show with the Application Form for Entry. The pedigree must have been issued by an FCI member organization or a national organization affiliated with the FCI by contractual arrangement or gentlemen's agreement. Should the pedigree be confirmed as invalid, all awards the dog in question receives shall become null and void.

Each participating dog must be vaccinated against rabies. The vaccination should have been effect 12 months prior to the date of the show. If it is the first vaccination, a minimum of four must have passed weeks prior to the show. A photocopy of the vaccination certificate must be enclosed with this entry form.

●  Breed Group division in accordance with the current F.C.I Breed Nomenclature

Group 1     Sheepdogs and Cattle dogs except Swiss Cattle dogs
Group 2     Pinscher and Schnauzer - Molossians and Swiss Mountain- and Cattle dogs
Group 3     Terrier
Group 4     Dachshunds
Group 5     Spitz and primitive types
Group 6     Scent hounds and related breeds
Group 7     Pointing Dogs
Group 8     Retrievers - Flushing Dogs -  Water Dogs
Group 9     Companion and Toy Dogs
Group 10   Sight hounds

● Class division

- Baby Class (between 3 months and 6 months): neither CACIB nor CAC can be awarded
- Puppy Class (between 6 months and 9 months): neither CACIB nor CAC can be awarded
- Junior Class (between 9 months and 15 months): only CAC can be awarded
- Intermediate class (between 15 months and 24 months): both CACIB and CAC can be awarded
- Open Class (above 24 months): both CACIB and CAC can be awarded
- Champion Class (above 15 months): both CACIB and CAC can be awarded
- Veteran Class (above 8 years): only CAC can be awarded

● To enter a dog in Champion Class

One of the following titles must have been confirmed by the day of the official date of entry to enter a dog in Champion class; the photocopies of the following certificates must be enclosed as a proof along with the application form for entry.  

  ●International Champion of the F.C.I.                                                                         

  ●National Champion (this title must have been earned by an FCI member organization or a national organization affiliated with the F.C.I. by contractual arrangement).

Otherwise the dog in question that is above 24 months shall be automatically entered in the Open Class.

     Quarantine of Imported Animals to Korea

  1) Submission of Animal Import Plan
- Animal Import Plan should be submitted to District office before the import of animals in accordance with relevant regulations

  2) Report of arrival
- Importer of animals should report to District office by telephone or writing of the arrival of animals and detailed plan for unloading and transportation

  3) On-board inspection
- On-board inspection for vessel is performed in an outer port
- On-board inspection for aircraft is performed in a reasonable area for prevention of livestock epidemic
- Inspection items

* Details of transportation
* Health condition during transportation and clinical inspection
* Health certificate issued by exporting country
* Conformity to animal health requirements by Korean authority

  4) Unloading and transportation
- Unloading and transportation should be carried out in a safe way to prevent the livestock epidemic by unloading company, transportation company

  5) Moorage in quarantine station
- Moorage during quarantine period which includes re-inspection period

  6) Application for quarantine inspection
- Required documents
* Application form provided by NVRQS
* Health certificate issued by exporting country
* Vaccination certificate required by relevant regulations or by animal health requirements agreed with exporting country

- Reference documents
* Reference documents can be required by quarantine officer to verify the authenticity of quarantine application or import license, etc

  7) Epidemiological investigation
- Review of quarantine application and attached documents
- Review of the results of on-board inspection
- Any other necessary epidemiological investigat

  8) Clinical inspection and laboratory test
- Individual clinical check 1~2 times a day in accordance with clinical inspection methods
- Laboratory test in accordance with test methods by species

  9) Judgement
- Qualified : Issuance of quarantine certificate
- Disqualified : Return, Incineration or Burial
